The benefits of using EasyCare Comfort Pads with EasyCare Hoof Boots

Dscf9105_small It's great to hear from end users when they have found ways to use our products in ways that can help their horses.  Below is a comment from a rider who is in the EasyCare Hoof Boot Contest (currently placing in the top five) who just recently attended the recent Pete Ramey clinic in California.  Comfort Pads are a great accessory item to sell with our EasyCare hoof boots!  If you'd like more information on them or would like to place an order, please contact your sales rep.

An important point I got from the clinic is to use my boots more. I have really only been using the boots for competitions and going barefoot the rest of the time at home and on training rides. I did notice that sometimes my horse seemed to be a little foot sore and a little short strided but I just kind of put it aside thinking it was better to "toughen" up her feet and I would never get her hoofs hard and develop thicker soles by using boots.

I found out I was wrong. What would happen is that my horse would start to walk toe first. Not super obvious but I could tell. Pete implies that as soon as your horse starts walking toe first you start going backward in hoof development. He said I would actually develop a stronger, tougher, better developed hoof using boots and having a properly loaded hoof with a properly working hoof mechanism then gimping along barefoot..

So, that's the main thing I am going to do...to use boots more around home. Also you have to use the foam pads. That I did already and I think they are great.

Western Horseman and Easyboot Epics

Wh907Last month Western Horseman featured the Easyboot Epic in their Gear Guide section.

The Epic is one of our best selling and most popular boots.  Here is more information on it from our website:

The Easyboot Epic horse riding boot is ideal for the barefoot horse, aggressive conditions or for a horse who is difficult to keep booted.

The attached Easyboot Gaiter provides extra protection to the hoof as well as keeps excess dirt and debris from getting into the boot. It also helps keep the boot on during extreme conditions such as mud, snow, and water crossings. This is an excellent boot for long distance riding!

If you need any graphics of Epics or other EasyCare products they can be found on the EasyCare media page, or in the EasyCare Dealer's Corner --> Dealer's Area section. Don't see a graphic that you'd like to have - just ask us

Get a Grip On Winter Riding!

Easybootgrip1_21 Save on EasyCare's Easyboot Grip.  Through the month of November we are offering dealers 20% off all Grips.  With fall in the air and winter right around the corner, remember that EasyCare has the ideal hoof boot for soft muddy conditions, wet grass and snow surfaces; the Easyboot Grip!  The aggressive traction pattern provides better grip on these surfaces but is not recommended on hard surfaces.  The Grip is available in sizes 0, 1,2 and 3 only.

The New Easyboot Name is......

New_easycare_hoof_boot_0011 The winner of the contest to name the new boot is...Pete Ramey!  Pete was the only person to suggest the name Easyboot Edge.

It took a lot of time to narrow the names down.  We had nearly 1600 names submitted, in which over 1200 were unique (not duplicated).  We narrowed them down, then voted, narrowed down and voted some more.  Discussed which ones we liked or didn't like, and why.  Then FINALLY we decided on the Easyboot Edge!!!

We will be rigorously testing the new boot and only when we are satisfied that it passes all of our tests will it be released to the public.  We look forward to updating you on the status of the Easyboot Edge!

Don't forget, applications are still being accepted for Team Easyboot, for those that are interested in helping out with the testing process.

The Two Wolves

Images3One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.  He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all..

One is Evil.  It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?" The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
