The New Easyboot Name is......

The winner of the contest to name the new boot is...Pete Ramey!  Pete was the only person to suggest the name Easyboot Edge.

It took a lot of time to narrow the names down.  We had nearly 1600 names submitted, in which over 1200 were unique (not duplicated).  We narrowed them down, then voted, narrowed down and voted some more.  Discussed which ones we liked or didn't like, and why.  Then FINALLY we decided on the Easyboot Edge!!! 

We will be rigorously testing the new boot and only when we are satisfied that it passes all of our tests will it be released to the public.  We look forward to updating you on the status of the Easyboot Edge!

Don't forget, applications are still being accepted for Team Easyboot, for those that are interested in helping out with the testing process.

We ask that you send the largest file available since small images are not suitable for calendar printing. EasyCare Sponsors Scholarship for The Equine Sciences Academy

EasyCare, Inc. and the Equine Sciences Academy are pleased to announce that EasyCare will be offering a total of eight first-term scholarships in the amount of $1,000 to the Equine Sciences Academy.  Four scholarships will be awarded to the Fall 2007 class, and four to the Spring 2008 class. 

Each scholarship has a $1,000 value and will be applied toward first term tuition.  EasyCare will reimburse the student for the scholarship amount once they have successfully completed their first year studies.

Applicants must first apply to and be accepted into the Academy.  Once accepted, students may apply to EasyCare.  Recipients of the first-term scholarships may also reapply for a second scholarship in the spring. In the event that a student receives a second scholarship, the award would be applied to the second term tuition. 

As the field of natural hoof care continues to grow, so will the demand for qualified professionals. EasyCare is excited to be able to assist those looking to make natural hoof care a career. We are currently working on expanding this new scholarship program to include additional programs and organizations that educate and train qualified applicants in the natural care of horse’s hooves.

Information about the Academy:

The purpose of the Equine Sciences Academy is to educate students in all key aspects of the care and custody of domesticated equines based on the study of the life of the wild horse.   

A university format includes comprehensive studies on all required coursework, practical instruction, rigorous testing, and practical exams.  The goal of the Equine Sciences Academy is to be the most comprehensive and professional training program in natural horse and hoof care available.

The program will basically follow a distance learning university format, with the exception of required practicums.  The program is designed as a two year course, but actual completion time may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, scheduling, ability to pass all required elements before progressing, prior experience etc.

  EasyCare was featured on the cover of three different magazines - in the same month!  We have also printed a second addition of the EasyCare product catalog that has a photo from the same shoot as the cover of Trail Blazer.   Boa Horse Boots were featured on the cover of Equestrian Retailer magazine.  Inside the magazine is an article on hoof boots and many photos of EasyCare boots. Tack'nTogs has a great article about hoof boots and how the equine world has discovered the advantages of barefoot.

EasySoaker/Dome Pad Promotion

EasyCare will be including a free pair of dome shaped Comfort Pads with each pair of EasySoaker boots purchased, while supplies last.  These pads are designed to add comfort and support to the hoof while a horse is wearing boots.  They will be automatically included in your purchase.

 These pads are currently not available for retail sale and are still in the testing phase.  We have received a lot of good feedback from users.   We want you to give these to your customers to use as they like.  They can use them in their EasySoakers, Epics or any other EasyCare hoof boot.  Heck they can even put them in their back pocket and add a little padding -- we won't tell and they'll save thousands over the cost of surgery. 

EasySoakers are useful for many things besides for a horse with a hoof problem.  Here are some additional uses for them:

1. Soaking to add moisture to dried hooves.
2. Soaking to make the trimmers job easier if the hooves are dry and rock hard.
3. Soaking in warm water and using with or without pads to assist in the barefoot transition process.
4. Soaking in warm water and using with or without pads to make a good hoof even better!

Please use the pads so that the concave (dome) part of the pad fits into the concave area on your horses hoof.   

EasyCare recommends sizing up when purchasing an EasySoaker.  Sizing up one to two sizes allows extra space for the dome shaped Comfort Pads (or any type of Comfort Pad), or bandages and liquids to be used inside the boot.  In addition, a larger size makes application and removal quicker and easier.  Since the dome shaped Comfort Pads are still in testing, they are only available in one size and will fit up to size XL in the EasySoaker boot.  Customers who wish to provide padding in a XXL or XXXL size EasySoaker may wish to purchase regular EasyCare Comfort pads in 6 or 12 mm in size large. 

Disclaimer:  These pads are a test product only and EasyCare assumes no liability for problems caused by their use or misuse.  If your horse is flat footed you should be very careful about using these pads.  Please discontinue use immediately should any problems occur.
