To prevent dirt and dust from getting into the boot, I first put on knee high stockings on the horses hoof then I put the boot on. Then I use EquiPak or dental impression material (with the mix tip and gun) to fill in the spaces between the boot and hoof wall. Presto - Even after 50 miles no dirt in boot!
