Changing a cable on an Easyboot

Here are a couple of photos showing how to change out a cable on an Easyboot or Epic that has the buckle riveted on.  I'm in Tucson this week and got to see first hand how the pros do it -- I didn't know that it was this simple, even I could do it now that I've seen how.

To start with take a flathead screwdriver and push it underneath the buckle between it and the boot where the cable is anchored -- the objective is to push the cable out from underneath the buckle.

Next, take a pair of wire cutters and cut the cable where it is crimped.  Pull the old cable out.  The next step will involve putting the cable back in, crimping it and then putting it into place.  I could do the entire thing in one to two minutes if I have the tools handy when I start.  In another post I"ll show how to wire the cable.  Till then you can view additional instructions from the EasyCare website at this link.
