AERC High Mileage Rider (who happens to love Easyboots)

Dave Congratulations to Dave Rabe - he made 39,000 miles recently at the Mt. Carmel ride (results will be posted soon w/ AERC).  I'm a little slow in posting this, as he has since ridden another 100 miles at Washoe and is doing another 100 this coming weekend.  It's tiring just keeping up with his schedule!  This makes him the 3rd highest mileage rider in the AERC by far.  First and second are Trilby Peterson and Les Carr.

Dave's first two rides were the Tevis - in 1984 and then again in 1985.  He's probably the only rider besides myself that has ridden as many miles in Easyboots.  Dave has also won the boot contest for the last two years.  See the rest of his comments from last year, by clicking here:
I think your boots are the best thing on the market by far and haven’t seen anything even close.

Here is a quote from Dave, from when he only had 30,000 miles:  If I were asked, what was the most significant product on the endurance market today that contributed to my successful AERC mileage, it would be Easyboots. They have test proven positive for my horses for over 30,000 miles.

USEF Rule Change Proposals

Just passing this along!

USEF Rule Change Proposals
Hello,

I have submitted thirty-seven (37) Rule Change Proposals to the USEF to
allow the use of hoof boots such as Old Mac's, Boa, Easy Boots, etc. for
consideration into the 2007 USEF Rule Book.  My goal is for them to
consider having a barefoot horse as an option in recognized
competitions.

If you have comments (positive please), please consider clicking on the
Comment link on the USEF website so that you can show your support.  The
current rule for Dressage does not allow the use of hoof boots, and I
figured if I was submitting a rule change for Dressage, then why not
include Eventing, and heck, why not go through the entire Rule book and
request changes across all disciplines to be consistent.  The reason why
these are banned right now is that they think it is masking an injury of
some kind.  So, my proposal suggests that after a class, the judge can
have the horse trotted in-hand with the boots taken off to show that the
horse is sound.

The Main link is:
http://www.usef.org/content/rules/ruleChanges/prcindex.php

Then you would click on a Chapter for your "discipline", say Dressage -
DR.  It will display a list of the proposed rule changes.  You will see
one that says "allow the use of hoof boots", that would be mine ;-).
You can read what is being proposed.

Then Add your Comments by clicking on the Comment Form button or use
this link: http://www.usef.org/content/rules/ruleChanges/commentForm.php

You don't need to be a member of USEF to respond with your comments.

Please email everyone that you know and post to whatever websites or
bulletin boards that you know of so that we can get as many positive
comments as we can!

Thank you,
Dawn Cabral-Quimby
