The Boa Boots are fantastic for these large draft breeds. The draft horses aren't always known for great feet because of the weight that they support. Nailing shoes on these big guys sometimes adds insult to injury as the feet already crack and chip so bad that nails make this worse. As a shoer and a Veterinarian, we trim the feet about every 4 weeks and each week we rasp the edges of the foot to take flares off the hoof to allow easier application of the Boa Boots. This allows us to put the boots on and take them off daily and keeps the feet moist while in use, helps with concussion of these big plate feet on the pavement, and allows for a non-slip surface for the horses to pull the carriage in the rain. The use of the Boa Boots helps us maintain a healthier foot for these big guys and reduces the cracking problems. We also use the boots for treatment of bruised feet and abscesses. "Thank You EasyCare for finally giving us a great product that can be used on every size horse from the mini to the giant."
Sincerely yours,
