The 2007 $10,000 Hoof Boot Contest is bigger than ever. Over 50 riders have signed up and we expect many more to sign up. To date 1,016 miles have been ridden in EasyCare Hoof Boots in the 2007 ride season.
I came up with the idea for the contest several years ago to see what hoof boots were really working in extreme conditions. It's very difficult to get through an endurance ride 50 miles or greater in a hoof boot that has design flaws. I encouraged everyone to enter the contest and pledged to pay $10,000 to the riders who finished the most miles in hoof boots. In return the public could see how many miles were completed in hoof boots.
Although the contest continues to grow it would be great to increase the prize money. I would like to personally extend an invitation to the other hoof boot manufactures to join the $10,000 hoof boot contest with their hoof boot designs. The other manufactures could each put up $10,000 and join the contest. If we could get $10,000 from Marquis, Hoof Wings, Cavalla and Dallmer we could have a $50,000 Hoof Boot Contest. The publicity from the contest would be great for our small industry.
What a great idea - come on everyone put your money where your mouth is :) I am sure it will be a fantastic promotion for all boots and therefore barefoot horses and theres no better way to improve a product than healthy competition and seeing whats boots are out there! Also not all brands suit everyone and will encourage those holding back to try boots they may not have considered before when they see the milage they can cover.

We would love to. We just need a way to track mileage. Can we do that in the UK?
