Wow. I use another brand of hoof boot that is about 20mm wide as you mention in the post. The extra width causes my horse to interfere and I have to use interference boots. Can't wait to try these.

Wow, what a photo at the top of the page. Where is that?

I'm a Renegade user and my horse doesn't have any interference problems with the wide profile design. No interference boots needed.

Your new boots look nice but I don't think the wide profile of boots or specifically the Renegade is a concern. Many EasyCare boots are also wide.

Anonymous- I agree that some horses travel wide and the added width of a hoof boot is not a problem. On the other side, many horses don't travel wide and need split/interference boots even without the additional width added with a wide hoof boot.

The Easyboot Glove has changed EasyCare's direction and is really the first non glue-on boot with a slim profile. The Renegade is a nice boot but can add an additional 40% (40mm) of width when used on a 100mm hoof. EasyCare also has some wide version boots that can add 20-40% in width.

40% is a huge amount to add to a hoof and will affect the way a horse travels. We are excited to offer a cost effective, close fitting boot that has very little extra width. I believe it's a step in the right direction for hoof boots.

Wendy- The photo is on Red Mountain, Colorado. Between Silverton, Colorado and Ouray, Colorado. I'm riding my horse Spyder.

Garrett - What is the best way for those of us who are having heart palpatations over the Gloves to get a fitting kit as soon as they are available? Is watching for availability directly through the Easycare site our best bet, or ?

Thank you so much for your continuing efforts to keep our barefoot horses sound and comfortable on every type of terrain while at the same time finding ways to create boots that are simple to use (those of us with bad backs REALLY appreciate that part!)

what about club footed horses?- any concerns?

Garrett Ford

Stan- I think they will be better on a club footed horse than a horse with 45 degree angle. Do you have a club footed guy you would like to fit. I can get you out a fit kit as soon as they are available.
