I just got some great photos of the Easyboot Epic being use in some nasty snow and icy conditions. The boots are fitted with four studs. Dana Johnsen from Nickers Saddlery sent in the photos. Dana is a long time boot user and is responsible for the idea behind the gaiter system on all EasyCare products. She also makes a very nice saddle.
EasyCare hoof boots can quickly be fitted with ice studs and allow horses to travel in some slippery winter conditions. The video below show the horse walking up a nice grade that is covered in ice.
That is very, very cool. We've got alot of ice here, too, but I still want to ride. Have you found having holes in the bottom of the epics make a difference in the summer? Do you find you have more sand, mud in your boots? Thanks, Michelle in Upstate NY

I have a question. I have 4 size 0's right now for my horse. 2 are Bares and 2 are Epics. But I'm afraid I need 00's in the back for her. Whenever I use the Bares in the back they eventually come off, when we are trotting or cantering. I have done one LD with the Epics on the back and they stayed on. But this year I bought easy boot foam and was wanting to pull off the gaiters and foam on the boots. I am thinking I need to buy 2 more boots for her back feet that are smaller, 00. I'm thinking why can't I buy the glue ons and foam them on? Or do they have to be glued? Can the glue-ons be used over and over or are they only one time use boots?
