Flexible is good, much better then brittle. As you know the fast set two part polyurethane glue is used by lots of people using glue-on boots, all brands, can become brittle and is rock solid. What that means is that correct installation is critical to make sure you don't loose a boot. If you just trail riding probably not a problem, but if you are in the middle of a 100 mile race it can be a problem. Get a dab on the sole and you have a rock in the tennis shoe. At my last ride, a dealer for the OTHER brand had lost a glue on, so had ONE strap on. Looks funny and not good advertising...

Garret, this fascinates me because I've been trail riding in the shells & 3 wraps of AT (athletic tape) trying to lose a shell (no gaiters, no glue) and on the 3rd trail ride I finally lost a shell after 7 tough miles when I used 2 wraps on one boot and 3 on the other.

You don't give much info on how you put these on. Can we get more detail on:

1 - how much tape you used (how many wraps) & how far down the wall you went
2 - where you applied the glue (how far down)
3 - what was that "other" tape???
4 - what was the cure time like
5 - what was the other prep (any?)
6 - Brittle is bad in some ways, but it also makes for easier cleanup because it may chip off the boots easier. Were these boots easy to cleanup?

Thanks for sharing...
