I'm contemplating putting on an endurance event in the Durango, Colorado area in the future. The single track trails in the area are some of the best in the world and I believe people would return home in awe.
The idea would be to have an EasyCare sponsored event. An opportunity for EasyCare to support the sport of endurance. Free or very minimal entry fees, free meals, seasoned vets, great base camp, awesome awards, and incredible trails. I'll look into bringing it together and possibly including some of the other manufacturers who support AERC.
I took my mountain bike out yesterday and did a short portion of the Colorado Trail that runs 500 miles from Durango to Denver. Take a look at the short video I took from my mountain bike. Imagine riding 50 miles of similar trails on your horse.
Thats it, I'm moving to the US! What an amazing trail...

Too bad CO is too far away from NorCal...Not hauling the ponies that far for a ride. But I'd be there in a heart beat otherwise! Love all the pics and stuff you've taken in the area and the video sure looked like fun to do! But either way, I think it is an excellent idea!

Garret
We are having a ride in what is one of the most pristine areas in the United States, the Valle Caldera. This was a private ranch for years in the center of the national forest near Los Alamos, New Mexico. It is about a 4 hour drive from you in Durango. The area is now managed by a trust, one of the first public lands of it's kind managed this way. There are 90,000 acres, and over 2000 miles of logging roads. We were blessed to be invited to have an endurance ride here. It is June 20, only a one day this year, but we are hoping to have a multiday next year. we are limited to 60 riders. Both Bob and I are Easyboot team members, and we would like to extend a personal invitation for you to come see this area. We went out on trail Monday, and I have pictures and a comment form one of our riders that 'he saw more elk that one day then he had seen in his entire life". We have also seen bear, turkey, fox, and all of the usual assorted. I would be happy to send you the info, or we are in the SW region on AERC's web site.

We'll be there! I think the Mountain Region and Southwest Regions would attend. People from the Denver area would love a beautiful ride within a days drive.
