The wet conditions leading up to the Sangre Cristo two day endurance event were perfect testing to prepare and glue on Easyboot Glue-Ons hoof boots in wet conditions. I hadn't had the opportunity to go through the preparation and glue procedures in wet conditions and then see if the glue bond would hold in a tough, muddy event.
I didn't know that the rain would continue to come down as we traveled to the event and sprinkle on and off during the event. The three days of rain made the creeks run, fields boggy and muddy roads slick. The horses were in and out of water all day. If the Easyboot Glue-Ons were going to fail this was the event.
The Easyboot Glue-Ons not only worked extremely well but there was no sign of the glue bond weakening at all from the wet conditions. Traction was also very good in the wet sloppy conditions. The test has given me total confidence in the Easyboot Glue-On product in all conditions. If hoof EasyCare preparation and glue instructions are followed I believe that the Easyboot Glue-On hoof boots will stay on for any 100 mile event, any 5 day endurance event or any pack trip into the wilderness.
My Mom ended up 4th on Cyclone and I ended up 5th on Inferno.
Here are a couple photos of Inferno's and Cyclone's feet after the event. The boots are a one to one fit and hard to tell they are even on the horse. Can get much closer to a bare hoof!
The short video below shows the water and moisture in the high mountain fields were rode through.
