Hi Team,
After what has seemed a never ending hiatus we are finally back. Fancy gave us a great colt and May has healed and rehabbed quite nicely and is ready to go. Of course throughout her rehab I have managed to wear out her Epics and need to get new boots.
I had really wanted to switch to the Edge with the new gaiter for training and use the glue ons for mult-days. Of course our first ride back is going to be Owyhee which only leaves me 2 weeks to get things squared away. Since we have been on the bench the past several months I let myself get out of the loop so I am looking for any and all help/advise.
I called Dave Rabe but he is at NC and has his phone off or something, was hoping he could stop by or we could meet up to get us set up. He has ridden May before so is familiar with her feet. This is so unusual for me to not be ready. All fitting, adjusting etc I have done myself but I have not had the opportunity to try out all of the new things yet this year. I would really like to get May out of gaiters completely due to her propensity for scratches and all the effort it takes to avoid that situation. The glove looks like it will work perfectly for Fancy and since she is just coming back I have more time to get educated and decide.
Will anyone from the team be up in Idaho for the ride? I really need to get back in the groove ASAP now that both mares are ready (one for competition and one for training). Thanks for any help.
On another note, has anyone tried the Riders Rasp? Wondering if it is as useful and easy to use as it appears. Thanks
Tami
