As we all wait for the new style of Glove gaiters to arrive, my dang horse is keeps tearing the gaiters. Which is normal for him with any of the different boots designs that I use (Epics, Grips,Bares and now the Gloves).
So because of this I have repaired numerous gaiters! I hand stitch them, glue the tears/holes closed, sew them with my sewing machine when possible. And then for hard repairs like stitching failure at the plastic strap which connects to the boot. I take them to Mike's Western Tack for him to stitch up on his heavy duty sewing machine.
So last nite I repaired another Glove gaiter using a piece of the strap that came with my other boots. It is the strap that is to be used to pull the boots on with.
I think it will get me by until the shipment of the new Glove gaiters arrives.

(I very much so love the idea of repairing the gaiters. I just didn't think it could be done as easily as that. Guess what I'll be trying next!

Hi Todd
I am glad I inspired you to try it. It isn't that hard to do and it will keep you riding, which is all that we desire.
I wanted to let you know that I have enjoyed reading your posts and how you have solved some of the problems you have faced. Very cool pastern socks idea.
